Experimental evidence for logarithmic fractal structure of botanical trees.

The area-preserving rule for botanical trees by Leonardo da Vinci is discussed in terms of a very specific fractal structure, a logarithmic fractal. We use a method of the numerical Fourier analysis to distinguish the logarithmic fractal properties of the two-dimensional objects and apply it to study the branching system of real trees through its projection on the two-dimensional space, i.e.

[Miniinvasive interventions for focal liquid accumulations in region of pancreas and surrounding tissues].

The results of treatment of 264 patients, suffering an acute and chronic pancreatitis, are analyzed. In 30% of observations the liquid peripancreatic accumulations observed have had regressed under the influence of complex conservative therapy and in other--there were performed transcutaneous punctures under ultrasonographic guidance, the cysts drainage, using laparoscopic method. The recurrence free postoperative period had lasted not less than 3 months.

[Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of "vitalong" in hyperlipidemia in rats].

In experiment on model of the lipidemia in rats the efficiency of new antioxidant drug "Vitalong" was studied. The researches have shown that the drug brakes derivation of free radicals, increases activity of a superoxide scavenger, has antiinflammatory and adaptogenic operation. Vitalong prevents activation of serumal elastasa, locking thus destructive link of the atherogenesis.
