There has been a growing need for enhancements in healthcare delivery, especially for the improvement of surgical outcomes. Therefore, implementing consistent reporting of complications enables the evaluation of data quality and facilitates its comparison. There are currently many available reporting and grading systems each with its own set of benefits and drawbacks.

Miller Fischer syndrome after COVID-19 infection and vaccine: a systematic review.

Background: COVID-19 (CoranaVirus disease 2019) is an ongoing infectious disease caused by the RNA SARS-CoV-2 virus (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus-2). The virus mainly causes respiratory symptoms, but neurological symptoms have also been reported to be part of the clinical manifestations of the disease. The aim of this study was to systematically review Miller fisher syndrome (MFS) published cases, in the context of COVID-19 infection or vaccination.

North Asian population relationships in a global context.

Population genetic studies of North Asian ethnic groups have focused on genetic variation of sex chromosomes and mitochondria. Studies of the extensive variation available from autosomal variation have appeared infrequently. We focus on relationships among population samples using new North Asia microhaplotype data.

EEG Recordings as Biomarkers of Pain Perception: Where Do We Stand and Where to Go?

Introduction: The universality and complexity of pain, which is highly prevalent, yield its significance to both patients and researchers. Developing a non-invasive tool that can objectively measure pain is of the utmost importance for clinical and research purposes. Traditionally electroencephalography (EEG) has been mostly used in epilepsy; however, over the recent years EEG has become an important non-invasive clinical tool that has helped increase our understanding of brain network complexities and for the identification of areas of dysfunction.

Musculoskeletal Pain Due to Wheelchair Use: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Introduction: Wheelchair users are at a high risk of experiencing non-neuropathic pain of musculoskeletal origin as a result of being wheelchair-bound. The aim of this systematic review was to establish the prevalence of musculoskeletal pain in wheelchair users that is attributable to wheelchair use, and to describe the different pain syndromes and discuss risk factors and management options.

Methods: After a systematic MEDLINE search, we identified 40 papers eligible for inclusion.
