Liver metastasis is the main cause of cancer-related mortality. During the metastasis process, circulating carcinoma cells hardly pass through narrow capillaries, leading to nuclear deformation. However, the effects of nuclear deformation and its underlying mechanisms on metastasis need further study.

Efficacy of Ulinastatin in the Treatment of COVID-19: A Retrospective Study.

Purpose: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of ulinastatin in the treatment of COVID-19 patients compared to conventional therapy.

Patients And Methods: A total of 437 COVID-19 patients admitted to the Respiratory Oncology Department of our hospital between December 31, 2022, and July 8, 2023, were included in the study. Patients were classified into the observation group (n=62) receiving ulinastatin in addition to standard treatment and the control group (n=347) receiving standard treatment only.

Galantamine plays a crucial role in the management of brain disorders. In this study, a series of galantamine analogues were designed, synthesized and evaluated as potential therapeutic agents for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Compound C2, a dual inhibitor of cholinesterase, was obtained by introducing a benzylpyridine ring to the hydroxyl group of galantamine.

Experimental study on ultrasonic reduction of irreducible water saturation in low permeability reservoir.

Irreducible water saturation is an important factor affecting the development effect of low permeability reservoir. Using the self-developed ultrasonic generator, kerosene was used as simulated oil, the natural low-permeability siltstone cores with different physical properties in Zhongyuan Oilfield were selected for indoor oil displacement experiment, and the effect of ultrasonic action on the saturation of irreducible water in low-permeability reservoirs was evaluated. It was found that ultrasound can further reduce the saturation of irreducible water on the basis of oil flooding.
