Background: Colonoscopy is an important armamentarium in the investigation of haematochezia. Patients with haematochezia are very anxious about the presence of blood in their faeces. They are usually referred for diagnostic colonoscopy based on the presence of blood in stool or anaemia.

Background: Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a rare but life-threatening idiosyncratic complication following the use of antipsychotic agents, anaesthesia and surgery. It is characterized by hyperthermia, muscle rigidity, autonomic disturbances and mental state alterations.
Case: A 31 year old female weighing 60kg received a depot preparation of Fluphenazine on account of depression with psychotic features observed two days prior to elective Cholecystectomy under general anaesthesia.
Endometriosis of the gastrointestinal tract is rare and occurs in <1% of all patients undergoing major gynecological surgeries. Bowel involvement has been reported in 3%-37% of all women of childbearing age with endometriosis. Total obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract occurs in <1% of cases of endometriosis with bowel obstruction.
