Background and objective The actual community burden of SARS-CoV-2 is undervalued, as the estimates are just the symptomatic infections. The acute phase of the pandemic has waned, and the analytical comparison of infection spread through repeated sero-epidemiological studies is important in the formulation of effective public health strategies. This study investigated the level of seroprevalence of IgG antibodies for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the Nagpur district, Maharashtra, India.

This study quantifies the health risks associated with the ingestion of microplastics and their co-contaminants in aquatic medium, considering both individual and interactive effects. The analysis encompasses four MP types (PP, PS, PET, PE) and prevalent contaminants including heavy metals (Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs, expressed as BaP equivalents), and plastic additives (DEHP, DBP, BPA)-to calculate individual Hazard Quotient (HQ), interaction-based Hazard Index (HI), individual Incremental Lifetime Cancer Risk (ILCR), and interaction-based ILCR (ILCR).

By 2024, advances in real-world data and research motivated an update to the French consensus on AID systems to expand accessibility, refine guidelines, and optimize patient follow-up. AID systems have consistently improved glycemic control by reducing HbA1c, increasing time-in-range (TIR), and minimizing hypoglycemia, with significant benefits even for specific populations such as individuals with poor glycemic control, brittle diabetes, children, very young children, pregnant women, those with insulin resistance or gastroparesis, or after bariatric surgery.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of the chimeric Free Anterolateral Thigh (FALT) and vastus lateralis muscle (VLM) flap for reconstructing extensive defects in advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), particularly those involving the infratemporal fossa (ITF) and masticator space.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital, Bangalore, from January 2023 to June 2024. It included 22 patients with T4a and T4b OSCC who underwent curative ablative surgery, ITF clearance, and reconstruction using the chimeric FALT-VLM flap.
