Reduced Sensitivity to Fluopyram in following Long-Term Exposure in Golf Turf.

In recent years, some golf course superintendents in Florida have reported that the turf health is no longer as great, and nematode responses to fluopyram have decreased. The objective of this research was to determine if the mechanism of the reported reduced efficacy was attributable to either: ) enhanced degradation accelerating its breakdown in the soil, or ) reduced sensitivity to the nematicide in the nematode populations. In a field experiment, soil and nematodes were collected from small plots that had been treated multiple times over four years, for only one year, or never treated.

Telehealth-based transitional care management programme to improve access to care.

Background: The transition from hospital to home is a vulnerable time for patients and families that can be improved through care coordination and structured discharge planning.

Local Problem: Our organisation aimed to develop and expand a programme that could improve 30-day readmission rates on overall and disease-specific populations by assessing the impact of a telehealth outreach by a registered nurse (RN) after discharge from an acute care setting on 30-day hospital readmission.

Methods: This is a prospective observational design conducted from May 2021 to December 2022 with an urban, non-academic, acute care hospital in Westchester County, New York.

Ranitidine: A Proposed Mechanistic Rationale for NDMA Formation and a Potential Control Strategy.

The formation of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) in ranitidine hydrochloride drug substance (DS) and drug products has attracted considerable attention over the last few years. The drug structure is unusual in that it contains a vinyl nitro moiety. Although a variety of studies have been carried out to understand how NDMA is formed in the DS solids, a mechanistic description of NDMA formation has remained elusive.

Trace Aldehydes in Solid Oral Dosage Forms as Catalysts for Nitrosating Secondary Amines.

Nitrosamine impurities may form during drug substance manufacturing processes. Here, we focus on nitrosamine impurity level growth in oral drug products during long term stability studies. Nitrosamine growth mechanisms in oral dosage forms are typically framed as due to nitrosating agents that can be formed in solutions of nitrous acid with a required pH value of around pH 5 or below.
