Purpose: Recently, a fatigue threshold obtained during submaximal repetitive isometric knee extensor contractions was related to V˙O2max measured during cycling and to exercise endurance. However, test duration is quite long (20-30 min in young people) to be of practical and possibly clinical use. The purpose of the present study was to test the day-to-day reliability of a newly developed short test that assessed the fatigue threshold during a submaximal test with the knee extensors.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of a vaginal progesterone preparation with our standard IM preparation within a donor egg program.
Design: Prospective randomized trial.
Setting: Donor egg program at a university assisted reproductive therapy program (Jones Institute for Women's Health).
Objective: To investigate the effect of donor's age and her prior fertility on recipient pregnancy outcome in our donor egg program.
Design: Retrospective cohort analysis.
Setting: Large academic infertility center.
Purpose: In the human, intracytoplasmic sperm injection is typically performed using "viable" sperm which has been mechanically rendered nonmotile. The purpose of the present study was to determine the ability of nonviable sperm to fertilize human oocytes and the early developmental normalcy of the resulting embryos.
Methods: In this study, immature, prophase I oocytes from a total of 27 consenting patients were matured in vitro and then randomized into two groups: injection with a viable human sperm or injection with a sperm rendered nonviable by freeze-thawing in liquid nitrogen.
