There has been an increasing shift towards individually owned leader development programs within organizations. Whilst leadership coaching is one of these and is gaining in popularity, the mechanisms of its effect remain poorly understood. We develop and investigate a model in which leadership coaching enhances leader effectiveness through coaching's positive effect on authentic and change-oriented leadership behaviours as well as self-efficacy.

Objective: To determine which treatment is superior in terms of clinical scores and adverse events.
End stage ankle joint arthritis is a debilitating condition. Surgical treatment, most commonly ankle arthrodesis or fusion, can be highly effective. The authors outline the nature and prevalence of ankle arthritis and show that the frequency of each type of procedure varies geographically.

We recommend the use of a femoral distractor to assist with this specific part of the operation. We describe the technique below and have now adopted it as a commonplace stage in our ankle replacements.
