Purpose: Breast reduction (BR) involves a large surface area of manipulated tissue, increasing the risk of postoperative hematoma. Pulse irrigation (PI) uses a device to deliver intermittent pressurized irrigant intraoperatively. This study aims to evaluate whether the use of PI is associated with reduced incidence of postoperative hematoma after BR.

Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study (November 2012 to July 2023) of a regional paediatric inflammatory bowel disease service. Disease activity, faecal calprotectin (FC), C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), haematological parameters and albumin were collected at baseline, 8 and 16 weeks.
We present a case of an 8-week-old infant with acute bloody diarrhoea and subsequent passage of an intestinal cast. An extensive immune and infection work-up did not reveal a causative aetiology. Histopathology indicated the cast represented an intestinal pseudomembrane.

Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the outcomes of DIEP + I with implant-only and DIEP-only reconstruction.
Methods: A retrospective review was conducted of patients undergoing DIEP + I, implant-only, and DIEP-only breast reconstruction from 2019 to 2023 at a single institution.

This study sought to evaluate the quality, reliability, visibility, and popularity of YouTube and TikTok videos about BII.
