Purpose: National Wilms Tumor Study-5 (NWTS-5) and AREN0321 evaluated the outcomes of children with rhabdoid tumor of the kidney (RTK) and malignant rhabdoid tumor of soft tissues (MRT).
Patients And Methods: Eligible patients with RTK were enrolled prospectively on NWTS-5 (1995-2002) and treated with carboplatin and etoposide alternating with cyclophosphamide (Regimen RTK). Patients with RTK or MRT were enrolled on AREN0321 (2005-2012) and received vincristine, doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide alternating with carboplatin, cyclophosphamide, and etoposide (Regimens UH-1 or dose-reduced Revised UH-1).
Background: In approaching surgical correction of Hirschsprung disease (HSCR), laparoscopic Swenson endorectal pull-through (Lap-S-ERPT) requires less transanal dissection and sphincter stretch. This may lead to more immediate postoperative obstructive symptoms. While antibiotics and rectal irrigations are mainstays of treatment, there is concern about rectal instrumentation in the setting of recent low anal anastomosis.

We utilized latent class analysis to identify distinct motivational/behavioral patterns of firearm possession in a youth/young-adult emergency department sample to inform prevention strategies.
Methods: Cross-sectional data were obtained from surveys conducted among youth/young-adults (age = 16-29; n = 1311) seeking emergency department treatment (7/10/2017-6/25/2018).
Objectives: Contextual factors that contribute to firearm injuries among children aged 0 to 10 are not well understood.
Methods: A retrospective review of the National Fatality Review-Case Reporting System was conducted for firearm deaths of children aged 0 to 10 from 2004 to 2020. Descriptive analyses characterized child and parent demographics, incident details, firearm characteristics, and firearm use.
