Asymptomatic 39 Weeks Abdominal Pregnancy - Video Report of a Case Occurred in Ivory Coast Resulting in a Live Birth.

Background: Despite the current advances in antenatal care and imaging methodologies in obstetrics, cases of advanced abdominal pregnancies are still reported, mostly in low- and middle-income countries where frequently only a few perinatal checks are performed and where these methodologies are sometimes not adopted in obstetrical outpatient settings.

Case Presentation: We report the video of a case of a 20-year-old I gravida Ivorian patient, sent to CHU de T reichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, for management of abdominal 39 weeks pregnancy after routine antenatal care. She was asymptomatic with a live foetus in transverse lie position.

Immediate Postpartum Intrauterine Device in HIV-Infected Women: Experience from a Tertiary Care Center in Côte d'Ivoire.

Background: Immediate postpartum intrauterine device (PPIUD) is a good solution for reducing low contraceptive coverage in developing countries. However, its use in HIV-infected women is poorly documented. The objective of this study was to assess whether the risk of PPIUD complications was higher in HIV-infected women.

Assessment of the scale-up of cervical cancer screening in Abidjan stratified by HIV status.

Objective: To report the successes and challenges of scaling up a population-based cervical cancer (CC) screening program from HIV clinics to various healthcare facilities in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Method: A retrospective analysis of characteristics, outcomes, and follow-up of women attending an initial CC screening visit in Abidjan between January 2010 and December 2014. Data were collected via forms that were systematically completed during CC screening visits.

Introduction: Family planning is a high impact strategy to reduce maternal mortality and to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV. This study aims to describe contraceptive practices of HIV-infected women followed upon an ambulatory basis at the Treichville University Hospital.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional descriptive multicenter survey of people living with HIV in the ambulatory care units of the Treichville University Hospital from 1 April to 30 June 2016.

Objective: We described the use of antiretroviral drugs to prevent HIV transmission among children and adolescents victims of rape in Abidjan (Ivory Coast).

Materials And Method: We conducted a retrospective and descriptive study on children (0-9 years) and adolescents (10-19 years) victims of rape between 2000 and 2013. We analyzed the patients' socio-demographic characteristics and the modality of the chemoprophylaxis.
