Background: The standard of care for treating opioid use disorder (OUD) during pregnancy includes either buprenorphine or methadone. Although buprenorphine-naloxone presents an alternative due to the reduced risk of misuse , evidence regarding its impact on pregnancy and infant health remains limited. This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to compare buprenorphine-naloxone vs buprenorphine alone for OUD during pregnancy, assessing gestational and neonatal outcomes.

These compartments play a pivotal role by providing essential input to three main targets: cranial motoneurons that regulate airway control, spinal motoneurons that activate the inspiratory and expiratory muscles, and higher brain structures that influence breathing behavior and integrate it with other physiological and behavioral processes. This review offers a comprehensive examination of the phenotypes, connections, and functional roles of the major compartments within the brainstem and forebrain respiratory circuits.

In this study, we purified and characterized a trypsin inhibitor (CvLTI) from the leaves of Cissus verticillata subsp. verticillata. CvLTI was isolated using a trypsin-agarose column and evaluated for stability towards heating (30 to 100 °C) and incubation at different pH values (2.

In the gut, galectin-3 stabilizes epithelial junctions and intestinal permeability. Here, it was investigated whether gliadin (protein of gluten) can induce inflammatory reactions in the digestive system in the presence or absence of galectin-3.
