We report eight cases of cystic lesions of the adrenal glands. Benign cysts or pseudocysts are the predominant tumors of the adrenal glands. However, neither tumor size, gross aspect, presence of calcified walls, color, cyst contents nor routine laboratory tests can exclude a malignant or hormone secreting lesion.

After observing a benign tumour of the small bowel which led to ileo-ileal invagination in an adult we recalled the main data on the epidemiology, aetiology and diagnosis. In infants, the diagnosis is usually made but in adults, the situation is much rarer and the clinical and radiographic signs are not specific. Echotomography of the abdomen is the most reliable examination.

On radioclinical examinations, it often mimicks an advanced or even inextractable primary bronchial tumor, thus leading to extensive surgery or even to give up the treatment. The effectiveness of antibiotic therapy leads the authors to discuss the role and limitations of surgery.

Although the objective of treatment is to preserve the kidney, the risk of treatment is dominated by the threat to the future of the vascular prosthesis. The usual technical problem can be summarised by the question: should one cut the ureter or the prosthesis? and it would appear that a urinary problem does not necessarily imply a urological solution.
