Preclinical model for evaluating human TCRs against chimeric syngeneic tumors.

Background: The adoptive cell transfer (ACT) of T cell receptor (TCR)-engineered T cells targeting the HLA-A2-restricted epitope NY-ESO-1 (A2/NY) has yielded important clinical responses against several cancers. A variety of approaches are being taken to augment tumor control by ACT including TCR affinity-optimization and T-cell coengineering strategies to address the suppressive tumor microenvironment (TME). Most TCRs of clinical interest are evaluated in immunocompromised mice to enable human T-cell engraftment and do not recapitulate the dynamic interplay that occurs with endogenous immunity in a treated patient.

Validation of the French version of the Body Awareness Questionnaire: toward a way to assess alexisomia.

Background: Awareness of one's own states is a particularly important part of cognition and emotion regulation. Recently, the concept of alexisomia has been used to refer to lack of awareness and expression of somatic sensations. Developing self-reported questionnaires to evaluate alexisomia represents a challenge for clinical psychology and medicine.

Evaluation of Clobetasol and Tacrolimus Treatments in an Imiquimod-Induced Psoriasis Rat Model.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder characterized by keratinocyte hyperproliferation, inflammation, and aberrant differentiation. Imiquimod-induced psoriasis in rodent models has been widely used to study the pathogenesis of the disease and evaluate potential therapeutic interventions. In this study, we investigated the efficacy of two commonly used treatments, Clobetasol and Tacrolimus, in ameliorating psoriatic symptoms in an Imiquimod-induced psoriasis Wistar rat model.

Prognostic impact of positive microscopic margins (R1 resection) in patients with GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumours): Results of a multicenter European study.

Background: Although several prognostic factors in GIST have been well studied such as tumour size, mitotic rate, or localization, the influence of microscopic margins or R1 resection remains controversial. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of R1 resection on the prognosis of GIST in a large multicentre retrospective series of patients.

Methods: From 2001 to 2013, 1413 patients who underwent surgery for any site of GIST were identified from 61 European centers.

Imiquimod-induced pruritus in female wild-type and knockin Wistar rats: underscoring behavioral scratching in a rat model for antipruritic treatments.

Objectives: Animal models of skin disease are used to evaluate therapeutics to alleviate disease. One common clinical dermatological complaint is pruritus (itch), but there is a lack of standardization in the characterization of pre-clinical models and scratching behavior, a key itch endpoint, is often neglected. One such model is the widely used imiquimod (IMQ) mouse model of psoriasis.
