Background: Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) injures the infant brain during the basic formation of the developing functional connectome. This study aimed to investigate long-term changes in the functional connectivity (FC) networks of the adolescent brain following neonatal HIE treated with therapeutic hypothermia (TH).
Methods: This prospective, population-based cohort study included all infants (n = 66) with TH-treated neonatal HIE in Stockholm during 2007-2009 and a control group (n = 43) of children with normal neonatal course.
Background: The efficacy of corticosteroids for treating acute vestibular neuritis, or acute unilateral vestibulopathy (AUVP), remains controversial.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate whether corticosteroids improve vestibular function and reduce symptoms in both acute and chronic phases of AUVP.
Methods: This randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial included patients with AUVP (ages 18-80) from emergency departments at three sites in southern Sweden.
How well patient perceived outcome reflects clinical measurements after arthroscopic lysis and lavage of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is not fully understood. The purpose of this study was to detect any correlation between patient reported outcome measures (PROM) and clinical follow-up measurements. Patients with internal derangement of the TMJ treated with arthroscopic lysis and lavage 2014-2019 were consented for review of medical records and a follow-up PROM-questionnaire.

Here, we address this challenge by developing a new eco-physiological model that accounts for plasticity in stomatal conductance and leaf N concentration. Based on optimality principle, our model determines stomatal conductance and leaf N concentration by balancing carbon uptake maximization, hydraulic risk and cost of maintaining photosynthetic capacity.
