The purpose of this study is to examine how co-pyrolysis of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and rice husk is impacted by LDPE. It also looks into the physicochemical characteristics, thermal behavior, and kinetic parameters of these materials. To understand the thermal behavior through TGA, rice husk and LDPE blends in the ratios of LDPE: RH (50:50), LDPE: RH (25:75), and LDPE: RH (75:25) were prepared and tested.

Background: Flag leaf (FL) and panicle architecture (PA) are critical for increasing rice grain yield as well as production. A genome-wide association study (GWAS) can better understand the genetic pathways behind complex traits like FL and PA.

Results: In this study, 208 diverse rice germplasms were grown in the field at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at Beaumont, TX, during 2022 and 2023 following Augmented Randomized Complete Block Design.

Hoverflies, capable of abilities providing dual ecosystem services including pest control and pollination, are exposed to insecticidal proteins from transgenic plants via pollen and prey aphids. However, the effects of such exposures on hoverflies have never been adequately assessed. The traditional approach of open-sun drying is facing contemporary challenges arising from the widespread adoption of energy-intensive methods and the quality of drying. In response, solar dryers have emerged as a sustainable alternative, utilizing solar thermal energy to effectively dehydrate vegetables. This study investigates the performance of a single-basin, double-slope solar dryer utilizing natural convection for drying bottle gourds and tomatoes, presenting a sustainable alternative to traditional open-sun drying.
