Leponex was used to treat 120 schizophrenic patients with doses varying from 50 to 550 mg and the course of therapy lasting for two months. Considerable specificities were revealed in the spectrum of the drug psychotropic activity and the nature of its side effects. Leponex was especially effective in cases of delirious, hallucinational and catatonic symptomatology.

Gastric juice mucus was removed by and addition of equimolar amounts of Na2HPO4 and CaCl2. The removal of proteases and other proteins was achieved by the treatment with resins KB-51X2 and AN-22.

Changes in the total, free and bound activity of collagenase of the intramuscular connective tissue were studied during beef muscle maturation (2 degrees C). Lysosomes were isolated by differential centrifugation. The studies showed a relatively rapid release of collagenase from lysosomes and a comparatively high stability of the enzyme during slow autolysis of muscles.
