Background: Distal tibial deformities are not assessed using the proximal anatomical axis (PAA) to determine the posterior tibial slope (PTS). Therefore, it seems advantageous to measure PTS on full-length lateral tibial radiographs using the mechanical axis (MA).
Purposes: To (1) compare the PTS measurements using the MA and the PAA and (2) determine whether using the PAA fails to detect a certain number of significantly elevated PTS values compared with using the MA.
: To evaluate the non-inferiority of non-contrast CT compared to contrast-enhanced CT with both intravenous and rectal contrast application for the diagnosis of acute colonic diverticulitis. : Five readers retrospectively evaluated the non-contrast and contrast-enhanced series of CTs of 205 consecutive patients with clinical suspicion of acute diverticulitis. Two randomized reading sessions, both containing all 205 cases as either contrast-enhanced or non-contrast (1:1) series, were performed with ≥8 weeks washout between them.

Rationale: In electrospray ionization and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization, the protonation site directly guides the ion's dissociation. But what if the site of protonation is ambiguous? In this study, we explored the unimolecular reactions of protonated α- and β-pinene ions with a combination of tandem mass spectrometry and theory. Each has multiple potential protonation sites that influence their chemistry.

The morphology and properties of the electrospun nanofibers were evaluated, revealing that PVA nanofibers exhibited smoother and more uniform structures compared to PET fibers. The rheological behavior of the polymer solutions was also characterized, showing that PVA 99 DH solution exhibited shear-thinning behavior due to the unique structural properties of the polymer chains.

Purpose: Different techniques of slope-decreasing anterior closed-wedge proximal tibial osteotomy (ACW-PTO) have been described. To determine the peri- and post-operative complication rate and obtain data on bone healing in ACW-PTO with an infratuberositary approach.
Methods: A total of 170 consecutive ACW-PTO of two sports-orthopaedic centres were retrospectively evaluated (97 and 73, respectively).
