Mutational analysis uncovered a germline mutation in the Noonan syndrome/LEOPARD syndrome (NS/LS) gene PTPN11. In conclusion, this case report suggests that congenital myeloproliferative disorders in association with germline PTPN11 mutations may affect the erythroid lineage.
