This case study describes a severe and rare complication following the placement of a total hip prosthesis in a 59-year-old woman. During rehabilitation, a physiotherapist incorporated dry needling alongside conventional exercises. A large ulcer developed near the surgical scar, attributed to pyoderma gangrenosum.
