Objective: To evaluate mid-term primary patency of the femoral artery stenting in correlation with usCRP level and characteristics of the population, morphological aspect of the lesions and interventional techniques.

Methods: Patients were prospectively included in a multicenter study (18 centers in France) after stenting (SMART, Cordis Johnson & Johnson, Issy-les-Moulineaux, France) of the superficial femoral artery (SFA). The safety, efficacy and long term clinical benefits of renal artery revascularization by stenting are still a matter of debate. The aim of our study was to define the safety and efficacy of renal artery stenting with the Tsunami peripheral stent (Terumo Corporation, Tokyo, Japan). The ODORI was a prospective, multicentre registry which enrolled 251 consecutive patients, (276 renal arteries) in 36 centres across Europe.

The objectives of this course are both: to describe acquisition, injection and reconstruction parameters of volumic images for renal arteries examination and specific signs; to discuss the role of the different images in the diagnosis and in the therapeutic management. Ultrasound is one of the best imaging for the analysis of renal arteries in the detection of stenosis even if the sensitivity is less (around 85%)compared to CT Angiography (95%) and MR Angiography (90%). Because of this advantage and of 3D evaluation, CTA and MRA are sometimes in the first line for renal artery evaluation and can assess morphology before angioplasty.

The presence of Sr in bone influences bone mineral density (BMD) and content (BMC) measurements by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). This interaction is of interest, since strontium ranelate (S12911) demonstrated positive effects on bone metabolism in various animal models of osteoporosis, and is currently being evaluated for treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis. The present in vitro study aimed to determine adjustment factors for DXA measurements of BMC and BMD at different Sr concentrations in order to estimate the corresponding values that would have been measured without Sr.
