Commercial 3D zinc foam anodes with high deposition space and ion permeation have shown great potential in aqueous ion batteries. However, the local accumulated stress from its high-curvature surface exacerbates the Zn dendrite issue, leading to poor reversibility. Herein, we have employed zincophilic N-doped carbon@Sn composites (N-C@Sn) as nano-fillings to effectively release the local stress of high curvature surface of 3D Zn foams toward dendrite-free anode in aqueous zinc ion battery (AZIB).

Two novel phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors were detected in pressed candy using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-diode array detection. Following extraction with acetonitrile and sonication, the compounds were isolated and purified semi-preparative liquid chromatography. Structural characterisation was achieved through high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

Trauma healing is the process of healing after the body has been subjected to an external force and the skin and other tissues have become dissected or defective, showing the synergistic effect of various processes. Therefore, the investigation of innovative wound dressings has significant research and clinical implications. In this study, we constructed a zinc based metal-organic framework (MOF) and loaded with antimicrobial peptide LL37 to prepare LL37@ZPF-2 (ZPF = zeolite pyrimidine backbone), which was subsequently integrated with Poloxamer 407 to fabricate LL37@ZPF-2 thermosensitive hydrogel.

Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluates parenchymal volume analysis (PVA) as a potential alternative to nuclear renal scan (NRS) for assessing split renal function (SRF) before and after partial nephrectomy (PN) with warm ischemia.
  • Preoperatively, PVA showed a strong correlation with NRS findings, indicating its reliability for SRF assessment (49.4% vs. 50.0%, P = .501).
  • Results suggest that while PVA is consistent with NRS preoperatively, the efficacy of PVA remains uncertain for post-operative SRF evaluation after PN, indicating a need for further investigation.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Liver fibrosis, which is a precursor to cirrhosis in chronic liver diseases, is driven by various factors. The activation and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are recognized as a crucial phase in the progression of liver fibrosis. Compared with western drug therapy, Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and herbal medicine not only have the advantages of multi-target and multi-pathways in the treatment of liver fibrosis, but also have high safety without toxic side effects.
