The rate of infection is extremely low after a prophylactic contralateral fixation in slipped upper femoral epiphysis, and exclusively involves superficial wound infection. We report an unusual case of hip infection after a prophylactic pinning with a single cannulated screw. The evolution was unfavorable, with necrosis and epiphysiolysis of the femoral head.

Purpose Of The Study: We present the cases of six adolescents (four high-level gymnastics specialists) with osteochondritis dissecans of the capitulum who were treated with an en bloc osteochondral autograft. There are few series of this rare condition reported in the literature.

Material And Methods: All six patients presented pain over the lateral aspect of the elbow and limited extension; pronosupination was unaffected.

Fifteen old dislocations of the radial head in children were treated by open reduction combined with a high osteotomy of the ulna and a reconstruction of the annular ligament. This method, described by the authors in 1978, was used in nine post-traumatic, three congenital, two paralytic and one dislocation associated with multiple exostoses. Twelve children were reviewed with a follow-up of two to 11 years.
