[Ovarian endometriosis cyst with iodine 131 uptake : first case of false positive in the follow up for differentiated thyroid carcinoma].

A whole body scan is performed after a radioiodine treatment in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma. This scan is useful coupled with thyroglobulin level for the patient's management. When unusual uptake is found, investigations have to be done to eliminate thyroid metastasis.

Value of MR cholangiography in the diagnosis of obstructive diseases of the biliary tree: a study of 58 cases.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate magnetic resonance cholangiography (MRC) in the diagnosis of biliary tree obstruction.

Methods: Fifty-eight consecutive patients underwent MRC (GYROSCAN ACS II 1.5 Tesla, TSE T2 axial/coronal-MIP sequences) for clinical and biochemical signs of main bile duct obstruction.

Objectives: Occasional malignant transformation after partial thyroidectomy for Hürthle cell tumours has led certain authors to propose total thyroidectomy in all cases. The aim of this retrospective study was to evaluate outcome 4 years after partial thyroidectomy in patients with Hürthle cell tumours.

Methods: Ten patients (9 females, 1 male; mean age 45 years; age range 21-65 years) underwent thyroid surgery for Hürthle cell tumours from 1980 to 1989.
