Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates the participation rate and compliance of university students in a 15-day ecological momentary assessment (EMA) study focused on mental health, finding a participation rate of 62.1% and mean compliance of 76.9%.
  • Factors influencing participation included higher participation rates among women and lower rates in older students and those with recent traumatic experiences, such as the death of a loved one or a suicide attempt.
  • The research also assessed the reliability of measures for positive and negative affect and identified a concern for careless responding among participants with low compliance or reliability scores.

Background: Effective breast cancer treatment planning requires balancing tumor control while minimizing radiation exposure to healthy tissues. Choosing between intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) remains pivotal, influenced by patient anatomy and dosimetric constraints.

Purpose: This study aims to develop a decision-making framework utilizing deep learning to predict dose distributions, aiding in the selection of optimal treatment techniques.

Facilitated subcutaneous immunoglobulin (fSCIG) 10% is an immunoglobulin replacement therapy that utilizes recombinant human hyaluronidase (rHuPH20) to enhance immunoglobulin dispersion and absorption, allowing for longer treatment intervals similar to intravenous immunoglobulin (up to once monthly). fSCIG 10% is indicated in the USA for treating adults and children aged ≥ 2 years with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PIDs). This prospective, non-interventional, open-label, multicenter, post-authorization safety study (NCT02593188) was conducted in the USA from November 2015 to October 2021 to assess the long-term safety of fSCIG 10% in routine clinical practice.

Background: Urban environments are characterized by many factors that may influence children's energy balance-related behaviors (EBRBs), but there is limited research on the impact of prospective exposure to multiple urban factors in preschoolers. We evaluated prospective associations between various urban exposures and EBRBs in preschoolers across Europe, with EBRBs considered both individually and combined into lifestyle patterns.

Methods: We used data from 4,073 preschoolers (aged 3-4 years) participating in three European cohorts from the EU Child Cohort Network: BiB (United Kingdom), EDEN (France), and INMA (Spain).

Background: Loneliness is considered a public health problem, particularly among older adults. Although risk factors for loneliness have been studied extensively, fewer studies have focused on the protected and risk groups that these factors configure. Our objective is to analyze the variables and latent factors that predict loneliness in older adults and that enable risk and protected groups to be configured.
