The goal of the treatment of patients with cleft lip and/or cleft palate was: obtain a normal appearance, a normal speech and a normal growth without severe pertubations of the quality of life. Millard technique was used to repair the cleft lip in neonatal period. Between 6 and 18 months, the palate cleft was closed by wardill-kilner technique.

Recurrence is a major problem after release of temporomandibular joint ankylosis. Early physiotherapy and choice of interpositional material are important in preventing recurrence. Currently, the most used technique is gap arthroplasty associated with coronoidectomy, temporalis muscle flap interposition and reconstruction of the condylar unit with a costochondral graft.

Six dogs went through a distalazing movement of their lower premolars on one side with a magnet system and on the other side with a mechanical system producing similar forces. A histological analysis of the moved premolars has showed a more important rate of osteoclasts and a reduction of the hyalinisation area with the magnet system.

SN- ANS- PNS, SN-OP, SN-GoGn, FMA, Y-axis are concerned. On the other hand, it has been revealed a closure of the angle ANS- Xi- MP associated with an opening of the mandibular arch.
