Experience of personnel involved in dead body management at an apex institute in the aftermath of Odisha triple train collision.

Background: Railway disasters cause huge loss of life and resources. A triple train collision occurred at 7 PM on 2nd June 2023 at Bahanaga, Balasore, Odisha. It was the third deadliest train accident in India with 288 deaths and more than 900 injured.

Preparation and characterization of mangiferin-loaded polylactic acid nanofiber mat with antioxidant and anti-browning properties for the development of food packaging products.

In this study, antioxidant nanofiber-based food packaging material composed of polylactic acid (PLA) and mangiferin (MG) was produced to reduce food spoilage. To this end, MG was extracted from Mangifera indica and chemically characterized. In vitro assays for scavenging several radical ions showed excellent antioxidant properties of MG.

Ompok bimaculatus is a commercially important food fish of Northeast India. For higher production of this species, the molecular mechanisms underlying its reproductive physiology is an important aspect to study. Vegetable oils are rich in ω3 and ω6 fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins, that enhance reproductive performances.

A multivariate study on the effect of 3D printing parameters on the printability of gluten-free composite dough.

Background: The advancement of three-dimensional (3D) food printing technology is significantly influencing the food processing industry. The present study utilized extrusion 3D printing to create a gluten-free dough composed of little millet flour (LMF), amaranth seed flour (ASF) and curry leaf flour (CLF). The primary objective was to elucidate the effects of various extrusion-based 3D printing conditions, including extruder nozzle diameter (ND), extrusion rate (ER), print speed (PS) and layer height (LH) on the printability parameters of the dough.
