Allergen Immunotherapy (AIT) is the only disease modifying treatment option for patient with IgE mediated allergic disorder. Conventional subcutaneous immunotherapy is associated with adverse events during build-up and maintenance phase but cluster allergen immunotherapy with monoclonal anti-IgE antibody (omalizumab) has complementary and synergistic effect. Omalizumab plus AIT can significantly enhance the efficacy, safety, and steroid-sparing effect of AIT by increasing target maintenance dose (TMD) and sustained unresponsiveness (SU) to allergen while decreasing the adverse events and severe systemic reactions.

Background: Kinase D-interacting substrate of 220 kDa ("KIDINS220") is an integral plasma membrane protein essential to signaling throughout the body; abnormalities are linked to a variety of disorders, including obesity, but have never been directly linked to chronic- or end-stage renal disease.

Introduction: Acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) is a life-treating presentation of ulcerative colitis (UC) that requires prompt initiation of treatment to avoid complication. Unfortunately, outcomes for ASUC are suboptimal, with as many as 20-30% of patients requiring colectomy. This can be challenging for patients and highlights the need to understand patient experiences and perspectives navigating ASUC.

Tranexamic acid in preventing postpartum blood loss in vaginal delivery: a double-blinded randomized controlled trial.

Background: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is an obstetrical emergency that occurs in 1% to 10% of all deliveries and contributes to nearly one-quarter of all maternal deaths worldwide. Tranexamic acid has been established as an adjunct in the treatment of PPH but its role in its prevention of PPH following vaginal delivery has not been widely studied.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the effect of prophylactic tranexamic acid (1 g) along with active management of the third stage of labor in reducing postpartum blood loss and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage after vaginal delivery.
