The effective transmission of electrical energy through cables requires insulation materials with a low loss factor and low dielectric constant. Similarly, in transporting fluid through pipelines, thermal insulation is crucial.

Improving the hydrophobic nature of biopolymer based edible packaging film: A review.

Biopolymer-based polymer compounds mainly protein and polysaccharide are commonly used in biodegradable packaging. Gelatin, cellulose, starch, chitosan, pectin, and alginate are widely used for producing biodegradable packaging films because of their nontoxicity and safety. However, some drawbacks need to be solved before employing them in food packaging, such as inappropriate wettability, low barrier properties, low mechanical properties and high moisture sensitivity.

N-Heterocyclic carbenes are highly effective ligands for anchoring functional organic molecules to metal surfaces and nanoparticles, facilitating the formation of self-assembled monolayers. However, their adsorption on surface is difficult to predict and control, and there is an ongoing debate on the geometry of NHC derivatives on gold surfaces and on the role of gold adatoms. We present two single molecules based on a benzimidazole NHC, one equipped with a thiophene substituent, and the other ending with a Br atom.

A Cross-Sectional Exploratory Study of Rat Sarcoid (Ras) Activation in Women with and Without Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

This study explores Ras signaling proteins and growth factor-related proteins in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). : In a well-validated PCOS database of 147 PCOS and 97 control women, plasma was batch analyzed using Somascan proteomic analysis for circulating KRas, Ras GTPase-activating protein-1 (RASA1), and 45 growth factor-related proteins.

Hypoxia-Inducible Factor Prolyl Hydroxylase Inhibitors for Treatment of Anemia in Chronic Kidney Disease: Guidelines for South Asia.

This guideline addresses the use of hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (HIF-PHIs) in patients >18 years with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and anemia in South Asia (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka). It also summarizes recommendations for anemia treatment for individual HIF-PHI molecules under two categories: dialysis-dependent and non-dialysis-dependent CKD patients. The recommendations do not apply to pediatric (≤12 years) and adolescent (12 to 18) patients or those with primary anemia or anemia secondary to other causes such as blood loss, cancer (any type), polycystic kidney disease and infectious diseases.
