Background And Objective: Bladder cancer (BCa) imposes a substantial economic burden on health care systems and patients. Understanding these financial implications is crucial for effective resource allocation and optimization of treatment cost effectiveness. Here, we aim to systematically review and analyze the financial burden of BCa from the health care and patient perspectives.

Background And Objective: Non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) patients treated with additional bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) may become unresponsive to BCG. Recently, sequential intravesical gemcitabine and docetaxel (gem/doce) are being used for NMIBC. This study aims to compare oncologic outcomes between sequential intravesical gem/doce versus additional BCG in patients with BCG-unresponsive NMIBC.

Pro-inflammatory cytokines are secreted via the classical pathway from secretory vesicles or the non-classical pathway via extracellular vesicles (EVs), that together, play critical roles in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) progression. Annexin A6 (AnxA6) is a Ca -dependent membrane-binding protein that in TNBC is implicated in cell growth and invasiveness. AnxA6 is associated with EVs, but whether it affects the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines and/or EVs remains to be fully elucidated.
