Holocord syringomyelia (HSM) is characterized by a continuous spinal cord cavitation along its entire length and is currently poorly documented in dogs. This retrospective multicentric case series investigates the clinical and MRI findings in 18 dogs with HSM. The median age at presentation was 82 months (range 9-108 months) and French Bulldogs were overrepresented (50%).

Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy (PHOAR1) is characterized by autosomal recessive loss of function variants in 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (HPGD) leading to digital clubbing, periostosis, pachydermia, and severe hyperhidrosis. HPGD catalyzes the first step of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) degradation. Selective COX-2 inhibitors have proved beneficial in adults, though it is unknown if early initiation of COX-2 inhibitors can alter the natural history of PHOAR1.

Different functional phenotypes of macrophages with specific roles in the response to stimuli have been described. The C57BL/6 and BALB/c mouse strains tend to selectively display distinct macrophage activation states in response to pathogens, namely, the M1 and M2 phenotypes, respectively.

However, there has been significant interest in the development of conductive polymers, specifically adhesives, because of the potential properties and ease of processing of these polymers.
