Unlabelled: The mechanism used by polyomavirus and other viral SF3 helicases to unwind DNA at replication forks remains unknown. Using AlphaFold2, we have determined the structure of a representative SF3 helicase, the SV40 T-antigen (T-ag). This model has been analyzed in terms of the features of T-ag required for helicase activity, particularly the proximity of the T-ag origin binding domain (OBD) to the replication fork and the distribution of basic residues on the surface of the OBD that are known to play roles in DNA unwinding.

Antibodies that block the interaction between PD-1 expressing T-cells and cancer cells expressing PD-L1 play a central role in contemporary immunotherapy regimes [1-3]. We previously reported the isolation of a single chain variable fragment (scFv) of the monoclonal anti-PD-1 antibody Nivolumab, that binds to purified PD-1 and blocked its interaction with PD-L1 [4]. This anti-PD-1 scFv did not, however, function in a cell-based assay designed to detect the disruption of the PD-1/PD-L1 interaction, a result likely due to its poor solubility in tissue culture media.

Objectives: To determine whether oral cryotherapy (OC) mitigates oral mucositis (OM) resulting from busulfan chemotherapy.

Sample & Setting: Electronic health records of patients undergoing busulfan conditioning for blood and marrow transplantation were reviewed for this descriptive study. The post-OC group received OC with busulfan, but the pre-OC group did not.

In post-mining rehabilitation, successful mine closure planning requires specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound (SMART) completion criteria, such as returning ecological communities to match a target level of similarity to reference sites. Soil microbiota are fundamentally linked to the restoration of degraded ecosystems, helping to underpin ecological functions and plant communities. High-throughput sequencing of soil eDNA to characterise these communities offers promise to help monitor and predict ecological progress towards reference states.

Study 1: Students (N = 256 women, 129 men, and 13 nonbinary individuals, 61.8% heterosexual) from the same college campus studied 20 years ago (Murnen, 2000) reported on terms they used to refer to male genitals, female genitals, and "having sex" either within the context of an intimate partnership, talking with friends of their gender, or talking with friends in a mixed-gender group. Terms for genitals were coded as degrading or not, and terms for sex as aggressive or not, based on the previous study.
