Objective: The aim: Study of the influence of local oxygen deficiency on the features of the formation of keloid scars of the head and neck.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The research material was 17 incisional biopsy specimens of keloid scars, which were the highest age categories of patients from 19 to 63 years.

Results: Results: It was revealed that at coloring according to Mallory's technique, sections of fibrinoid swelling of collagen fibers were noted near central homogeneous hyaline masses.

The importance of control for nosocomial and community-acquired infections is one of the priorities of practical surgery, and maxillofacial surgery is no exception in this matter. Aim of study - to determine the spectrum of antimicrobial activity of widespread antiseptics and antibacterial agents used for topical treatment of odontogenic phlegmons of the maxillofacial region. A bacteriological study of purulent wound exudate was carried out for 109 patients of the maxillofacial hospital department with a diagnosis of odontogenic phlegmons.

Microbiological contamination of the imprints made of alginate ("Ypeen") and silicone material ("Speedex") with and without the correction supplement has been investigated. Streptococcus and Staphylococcus have been estimated to be the most survivable species on the imprint surface, however their concentration differ depending on the type of imprints' material. The strains resistant to antibiotics dominated among all the isolated microorganisms.
