Predictive Value of Inflammatory Biomarkers in Assessing Major Depression in Adults.

There are studies that have investigated the association of pro-inflammatory cytokines with depressive disorders, but they often present certain limitations. In this study, two substantial groups of patients were analyzed: 92 patients with major depressive disorder and 76 without depressive disorders. The strict inclusion and exclusion criteria for the analyzed groups significantly increased the value of the obtained results.

Chickens raised in backyard free-range systems are confronted with a significant threat of parasitic infections. Among the parasitic agents, protozoa belonging to the genus and helminths, including , spp., , and , stand out as the most prevalent.

[Study about the associated use of different types of drugs by high school students].

Unlabelled: Socially acceptable drugs and illegal substances consumed by high school students affect their nervous system, which is under development and anticipate an extensive drug use later.

Material And Method: In our study we have assessed the associate drug consumption at a group of high school teenagers by applying a questionnaire with 23 items.

Results And Discussion: Tobacco use is the lowest in ninth grade students and it is significantly better represented in higher grade students.

Mechanical determinants of graft kinking.

Vascular grafts can be twisted inadvertently during implantation. If twisted excessively, they may kink and obstruct flow. In this study, in vitro experiments were performed to identify the mechanical factors that determine graft kinking.
