Background: Glucocorticoids are frequently employed in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and play a critical role in the induction therapy of lupus nephritis (LN), despite their many side effects, including steroid-induced diabetes (SID). Information regarding SID in SLE patients is quite scant.

To provide global estimates, this study explored the prevalence of obesity among adults with and without T1D across three distinct global regions.
Methods: An observational, cross-sectional study was performed utilizing data from T1D registries and national health surveys to assess the prevalence of obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m) and the prevalence of overweight and obesity (BMI ≥ 25 kg/m) across Belgium, Kuwait, and Mexico.
Background/objective: Stiff person syndrome (SPS) and type 1 diabetes (T1D) are heterogeneous disorders characterized by antibodies (Abs) against glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD).
Case Report: We describe 2 patients with T1D and autoimmune thyroid disease who presented with muscle rigidity and intermittent spasms that affected gait and with elevated circulating anti-GAD titers. Classic SPS and stiff limb syndrome were diagnosed, respectively.

Background: A risk haplotype in characterized by alterations in fatty acid metabolism emerged as a genetic risk factor associated with increased susceptibility to type 2 diabetes (T2D) in Mexican population. Its role on treatment responses is not well understood.
Objectives: We aimed to determine the impact of the risk haplotype on the metabolomic profile during a lifestyle intervention (LSI).
