Herein we present photoinduced cobaloxime-catalyzed selective remote desaturation of aliphatic alcohols. This transformation, which proceeds efficiently at room temperature, facilitates the synthesis of valuable cyclic and acyclic allylic and homoallylic alcohols from readily available saturated aliphatic alcohols. Remarkably, this method obviates the need for external oxidants, noble metal catalysts, and phosphine ligands.

However, studies in large cohorts have shown that the disease course in these patients depends on the histopathological growth pattern (HGP) of the liver metastases, with the desmoplastic (or encapsulated) pattern responsible for a favourable outcome and the replacement pattern for an unfavourable course. To increase our knowledge of cancer biology in general as well as to design clinical trials that take into account the diverse behaviour of liver metastases, it is necessary to know the cellular and molecular determinants of these growth patterns.

Background: The phase II PRIMMO trial investigated a pembrolizumab-based regimen in patients with recurrent and/or metastatic cervical (CC) or endometrial (EC) carcinoma who had at least one prior line of systemic therapy. Here, exploratory studies of the gut microbiome (GM) are presented.
Methods: The microbial composition of 77 longitudinal fecal samples obtained from 35 patients (CC, n = 15; EC, n = 20) was characterized using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
