[Clinical and psychological features of people with internet dependence: experience of a pilot study].

Objective: The prevalence of Internet addiction (IA) is growing steadily, especially among the younger generation. The purpose of this multicenter study was to investigate the socio-demographic characteristics, clinical varieties, and profile of psychopathological symptoms of mental disorders in patients with IA.

Material And Methods: The study included 2 groups: the main group consisted of 44 people, aged 16 to 34 years, average age 22.

[Depression in alcohol addicted patients].

In this review, authors considered characteristics of depression and alcohol addiction. Depressive disorders comorbid to alcoholism are heterogeneous in their nature and structure and can be observed during alcohol withdrawal syndrome and in remission. Antidepressants, and first of all selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), along with the specific anti-relapse drugs (disulfiram, acamprosate and naltrexone), are the drugs of choice in treatment of alcohol addiction.
