Article Synopsis
  • This study examines the behavior of non-functioning pituitary adenomas (NFPA) after endonasal surgery and suggests a cost-effective follow-up plan for patients.
  • The research analyzed data from 116 patients over an average follow-up period of 78.5 months, finding a strong correlation between tumor size after surgery and subsequent growth.
  • It proposes a new MRI follow-up regimen that could save patients over 300 £ on scan costs while helping to better schedule monitoring for tumor progression.
