Abstract: The effects of post-hydration heating over a broad range of temperatures are evident in many Mighei-like carbonaceous (CM) chondrites as a variety of mineral transitions. To better understand these processes and how a CM chondrite's starting composition may have affected them, we experimentally heated two meteorites with different degrees of aqueous alteration, Allan Hills 83100 and Murchison, at 25 °C temperature steps from 200 °C to 950 °C and 300 °C to 750 °C, respectively. During heating, synchrotron in situ X-ray diffraction patterns were collected.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop DiffDL, a generative diffusion probabilistic model designed to produce high-quality diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) metrics from a reduced set of diffusion-weighted images (DWIs). This model addresses the challenge of prolonged data acquisition times in diffusion MRI while preserving metric accuracy.
Methods: DiffDL was trained using data from the Human Connectome Project, including 300 training/validation subjects and 50 testing subjects.
Objectives: Surgical site infections (SSIs) in cardiac surgery significantly impact patient outcomes. This study examines cardiac antimicrobial prophylaxis guidelines in Czech and Slovak hospitals, crucial for reducing SSI incidence.
Methods: An electronic survey was conducted across cardiac surgery departments in both countries, focusing on surgical antibiotic prophylaxis (SAP) protocols, antibiotic choices, dosages, timing, and postoperative infection rates.
