Development of Unified Terminological System Based on UMLS: Experience and Perspectives.

This article presents experience in construction the National Unified Terminological System (NUTS) with an ontological structure based on international Unified Medical Language System (UMLS). UMLS has been adapted and enriched with formulations from national directories, relationships, extracted from the texts of scientific articles and electronic health records, and weight coefficients.

Knowledge Base Prototype Creating with Using Interdisciplinary Metathesaurus.

This article presents our experience in development an ontological model can be used in clinical decision support systems (CDSS) creating. We have used the largest international biomedical terminological metathesaurus the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) as the basis of our model. This metathesaurus has been adapted into Russian using an automated hybrid translation system with expert control.

[Comparison of the effectiveness of non-immunogenic staphylokinase and alteplase for intravenous thrombolysis in ischemic stroke: analysis of hospital registry data].

Objective: To compare the effectiveness and safety of the use of non-immunogenic staphylokinase (NS) and alteplase (AP) for intravenous thrombolysis (IT) for ischemic stroke (IS) in real clinical practice at a regional vascular center.

Material And Methods: Data from 100 patients with IS who received IT with NS and 100 patients who received IT with AP for the period 2022-2023 were analyzed. The groups were comparable on sociodemographic parameters, cardiovascular risk factors and diseases, and stroke characteristics.

Background: Impulse oscillometry (IOS) is an effort independent method of studying lung mechanics.

Aim: To study the diagnostic significance of IOS in assessing lung mechanics after COVID-19.

Materials And Methods: Spirometry, body plethysmography, diffusion test (DLco), IOS parameters were analyzed in 315 patients (the median age 48 years), the median period from the beginning of COVID-19 to the study was 50 days.

Clinical search engines development is actual task for medical informatics. The main issue in this area is to implement high-quality unstructured texts processing. Ontological interdisciplinary metathesaurus UMLS can be used to solve this problem.
