Background: Skin tones may be predictive of anterior tooth shade. An analysis of the relationship of skin tone to anterior tooth shade within a population may facilitate the prescription of complete dentures with optimal esthetics and realism.
Aim: This study aimed to assess the relationship between skin tones and shades of upper anterior teeth among a diverse Nigerian adult population.

Method And Materials: A convenience sample of faculty members from a selection of high, upper-middle and lower-middle income countries were recruited to complete the survey. The survey had 5 open-ended main topics, and asked about (1) the size of their elderly population, (2) general information about dental education; (3) the number of dental schools teaching geriatric dentistry, and their teaching methods; (4) advanced training in geriatric dentistry; (5) scholarship/research in geriatric dentistry.
The influence of the design of mandibular major connectors on gingival health.

Background: The objective of this study was to assess the influence of lingual bar and lingual plate major connectors on plaque retention and gingival health among patients who presented in University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria.
Methods: This comparative intervention study was carried out among fifteen patients aged 28 to 60 years with Kennedy class III lower edentulous arch. Two metal dentures with different major connector designs (lingual plate and lingual bar) were fabricated for each patient.
