Background: This study evaluated the efficacy of grape seed extract (GSE) on the remineralization of primary tooth enamel alone or in combination with remineralizing agents.
Methods: The initial microhardness value of 90 primary tooth enamel samples was calculated; then, the samples were demineralized. The post-demineralization hardness of the samples was measured and the samples were randomly divided into 6 groups as follows: G1: negative control, G2: GSE, G3: NaF, G4:Casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP), G5: GSE+NaF, and G6: GSE+CPP-ACP (n=15).
Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the Meibomian gland (MG), tear film, and corneal changes in the post-operative period following ptosis surgery using corneal topography.
Methods: This non-comparative, case series study analyzed 30 eyes of 23 patients undergoing blepharoptosis surgery with an external approach. Ocular surface and tear film evaluation was performed at baseline and post-operative 3rd month.
Nature has a vast array of biomineralization mechanisms. The commonly shared mechanism by many living organisms to form hardened tissues is the nucleation of mineral structures via proteins. Living materials, thanks to synthetic biology, are providing many opportunities to program cells for many functionalities.

Materials And Methods: Patients who received CC 50 mg in the first cycle (group I, n=34) as ovulation induction and those who received CC 50 mg in the second consecutive cycle (group II, n=18) were compared. Basal (cycle days 2-5) and trigger day (the day that recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin is given) levels of gonadotropin and steroid hormones were measured.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the peripapillary and macular vascular flow changes between healthy adults and adult patients with superficial optic disk drusen (ODD), as evaluated by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A).
Methods: In this retrospective study, 44 eyes of 22 patients with superficial ODD followed-up in our neuro-ophthalmology unit and 54 eyes of 27 healthy individuals admitted to our clinic for routine ophthalmological examination were included in the study. The superior, inferior, nasal, and temporal radial peripapillary capillary plexus (RPC) vessel density (VD) values; superior, inferior, nasal, and temporal parafoveal and foveal region superficial capillary plexus (SCP) and deep capillary plexus (DCP) VD values; and choriocapillaris flow (CCF) area and foveal avascular zone area were evaluated by OCT-A.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to determine the differences of optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) measurements between the patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and non-neovascular early AMD.
Methods: This retrospectively designed study included patients with neovascular AMD (N-AMD group) and non-neovascular early AMD (NN-AMD group). The patients had a completed ocular examination including best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA, in decimal), intraocular pressure (IOP, mmHg), and OCTA measurements such as choroidal blood flow (au) and retinal vessel density (VD, %).
Aim: To analyze the risk factors of lymph node involvement in pure endometrioid type endometrial cancer and assess factors that necessitate lymphadenectomy.
Methods: Patients who had been operated on due to endometrial cancer and whose final pathology was reported as pure endometrioid carcinoma between January 2014 and January 2020 were assessed. Hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and systematic lymphadenectomy were performed in all patients.
Background: We aimed to investigate the impact of adopting an uterine manipulator (UM) on the postoperative (VL) and female sexual function index (FSFI) in patients undergoing abdominal hysterectomy (AH) for benign gynecological disease.
Materials And Methods: Hysterectomies were performed with the Richardson technique; two variations, a UM or digital guidance, in this technique were used during the colpotomy step. Subjects were randomized and allocated to either hysterectomy with UM guidance (study group) or conventional hysterectomy (control group).
Objective: To demonstrate the laparoscopic excision technique of a juvenile cystic adenomyoma and show how the decidualization of ectopic endometrial tissue can lead to the misdiagnosis of a focus of ectopic pregnancy.
Design: Description and step-by-step demonstration of the surgical procedure using a video recording (Canadian Task Force Classification 3).
Setting: Teaching and research hospital.
Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent disease that affects 5 to 15% of women of reproductive age. Data from large-cohort and case-control studies indicate an increased risk for ovarian cancers in women with endometrioma. Recently, as an ovarian cancer biomarker, human epididymal secretory protein E4 (HE4) has been increasingly investigated in the differentiating of endometrioma from ovary malignancy and in confirming the benign structure of the endometrioma.

The difficulty of intracorporeal suturing continues to be a barrier to a wider use of laparoscopy. Although the use of barbed sutures has been shown to ease the process of laparoscopic suturing considerably, concerns have been raised regarding a potentially increased risk of adhesions or inflammation as a result of their use.

Background: Radiofrequency (RF) ablation of idiopathic ventricular arrhythmias (IVA) from the coronary venous system (CVS) has been increasingly performed, but real effect of ablation lesions from CVS on epicardial myocardium has not been studied.
Objective: To compare effects of RF delivered inside the distal CVS during ablation of IVAs originating from left ventricular summit (LVS) with IVAs ablated from right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) using cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI).
Methods: Twenty consecutive patients with IVAs who underwent acutely successful RF ablation at initial appropriate sites, i.
Invasive fungal infections (IFIs) are a major cause of infection-related morbidity and mortality in patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Data from pediatric settings are scarce. To determine the incidence, risk factors and outcomes of IFIs in a 180-day period post-transplantation, 408 pediatric patients who underwent allogeneic HSCT were retrospectively analyzed.

Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), has an aggressive course and in untreated patients median survival is limited to three months. For relapsed PCNSL, the treatment options are few and results are usually unsatisfactory. Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (allo-HCT) has been widely used for treatment of relapsed/refractory NHL patients.

Study Objective: To demonstrate that laparoscopic excision of the endometrial tissue of a blind endometrial cavity in a patient with a Robert's uterus who did not consent to hysteroscopic surgery due to her virgin state and religious beliefs was an effective alternative treatment option for progressive dismenorrhea and pelvic pain.
Design: Presentation of a rare müllerian anomaly and a step-by-step demonstration of a laparoscopic excision technique in the endometrium of a blind uterine cavity (educative video) (Canadian Task Force classification III).
Setting: Robert's uterus is a rare müllerian anomaly characterized by the presence of a blind endometrial cavity and an asymmetric septum.
In pelvic organ prolapse, the anatomical defects develop at the anterior (anterior vaginal wall), the posterior (posterior vaginal wall) and the apical (the uterus/cervix or the apex of the vagina, vaginal vault or cuff scar after hysterectomy) compartments. These defects occur in more than one compartment. Treatment of pelvic organ prolapse is commonly surgical, aiming to restore the anatomy of structures supporting the pelvic organs.
