Purpose: To investigate whether tadalafil (TAD) and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) can prevent cisplatin (CIS)-induced testicular toxicity.
Methods: Forty Wistar-Albino rats were divided into five groups: Control group, CIS group, TAD group, NAC group and TAD + NAC group. All groups were compared regarding body and testicular weights, testicular volumes, blood testosterone levels, testicular tissue malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, histopathological features, and testicular Cosentino and Johnsen scores.
This paper presents a new data structure, GIN-TONIC (raph dexing hrough ptimal ear nterval ompaction), designed to index arbitrary string-labelled directed graphs representing, for instance, pangenomes or transcriptomes. GIN-TONIC provides several capabilities not offered by other graph-indexing methods based on the FM-Index. It is non-hierarchical, handling a graph as a monolithic object; it indexes at nucleotide resolution all possible walks in the graph without the need to explicitly store them; it supports exact substring queries in polynomial time and space for all possible walk roots in the graph, even if there are exponentially many walks corresponding to such roots.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of an earthquake on patients with ACS by comparing their clinical and angiographic features before and after the event.
Methods: We utilized a retrospective observational cohort design, involving 260 ACS patients who underwent coronary angiography.
Background: Acute stroke is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Myocardial injury is an important complication of acute cerebrovascular events. Neurogenic stress cardiomyopathy (NSC) is a condition of acute myocardial systolic dysfunction that can be observed after acute cerebrovascular events.

The purpose of the study was to compare the thromboinflammatory parameters between individuals with CSVT and healty controls. Additionally, the study sought to compare these parameters among CSVT subgroups with and without haemorrhage, as well as with and without papilledema.

Neurodegeneration of the autonomic nervous systems due to Parkinson disease (PD) may lead to increase in the QT duration. In recent years, a new parameter index of cardio-electrophysiological balance (ICEB) was found. ICEB is a significant parameter of medicine related dysrhythmia.

Stroke patients tend to have high levels of total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and low levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Therefore, it is noteworthy that there has been an increase in ischemic stroke cases in young and elderly individuals in recent years.

Methods: This was a single-center, double-blinded, prospective observational study undertaken from March and September 2021 on 110 patients with a history of previous abdominal surgery. All patients who were scheduled for laparoscopy underwent slide test in 5 zones of abdomen: right lower quadrant, left lower quadrant, previous operation site, vesicouterine pouch, and rectovaginal pouch.

: Malnutrition is frequently seen in stroke patients. Malnutrition worsens the prognosis and increases the mortality rate in acute ischemic stroke patients. Malnutrition is a significant factor not only in the initiation of infection but also in its progression.

Patients may harbor either one single hr-HPV (s-HPV) or multiple HPV (m-HPV) genotypes. Recently, the relationship between m-HPV infections and high-grade dysplasia has been investigated, and controversial results have been obtained.

Background: Some studies have shown that there may be an increase in the frequency of erectile dysfunction after COVID-19. However, no long-term study has investigated whether this is permanent or temporary. In this study, we aimed to examine whether there was an increase in the frequency of erectile dysfunction among individuals with a history of COVID-19, and, if there was, whether their condition improved over time.

Between April 2016 and December 2018, women who underwent colposcopy and excisional procedures in the department of gynecologic oncology were retrospectively investigated. Patients with multiple specimens, or whose specimen depths were not measured, and a negative/unknown HPV status were excluded from the study.

Methods: The patients randomized to a MBP group and a no preparation (NMBP) group. The senior surgeon remained blinded to the bowel regimen used by the patient.
Metal-oxide nanoparticles have reached a wide range of applications in the last ten years. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles stand out with their unique crystal structure and near-perfect physical and chemical properties at nanoscales (crystal size between 10-100 nm). It has created many applications with its white pigment, semiconductor state, and effective photocatalytic properties, but the synthesis of these nanoparticles is very damaging to nature.

Objective: The clinical presentation of coronavirus disease 2019 may be more severe in individuals with diagnoses such as neurodegenerative diseases and cerebrovascular disease, which may occur at an advanced age, among the underlying chronic neurological disorders. In this study, we analyzed the incidence of underlying neurological disorders, the clinical process, the effects on prognosis, duration of hospitalization, and clinical parameters such as mortality and the incidence of neurological manifestations that occurred in the study group after being infected and their relationship with the prognosis in patients hospitalized due to coronavirus disease 2019.
Materials And Methods: This is a retrospective and single-centered study.
Objective: Studies on eosinophils have mostly been directed to parasitic infections and allergic diseases, but the role of eosinophils in oncology has been largely ignored. Eosinophils are an important modulator of the immune response and components of the inflammatory process against the tumor. This study was performed to investigate the pre-operative peripheral blood eosinophil percentages in patients with a histopathologically diagnosed pure endometrioid type endometrial carcinoma.

Material And Method: Between January 2013 to December 2018, women with endometrial cells on the Pap test were searched from the hospital electronic database. The patients with endometrial cells on the Pap test who underwent further histopathological evaluation and who were followed-up for at least 1 year were enrolled in the study, while those who had a Pap test result other than endometrial cells, were lost during follow-up, or had missing data were excluded.
