Beta-lactam antibiotics are the most common cause of hypersensitivity reactions to medications, followed by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). The aim of this study was to classify children with hypersensitivity reactions to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID-H) according to the latest updates. ENDA recommendations were used to evaluate all patients with suspected NSAID-H.

Pulmonary chondroid hamartomas (PCHs) are the most common benign neoplasms of mesenchymal origin of the lung. This study reports an unusual case where MGA and PCH coexisted in a peripheral intra-parenchymal location.

Drought, which adversely affects plant growth and continuity of life and reduces product yield and quality, is one of the most common abiotic stresses at the globally. One of the polyamines that regulates plant development and reacts to abiotic stressors, including drought stress, is Putrescine (Put). This study compared the physiological and molecular effects of applying exogenous Put (10 µM) to barley (Hordeum vulgare cv.

This technology quantitatively solves many problems in medicine, such as increased workload, delayed diagnosis, and treatment processes. It has been seen in the literature that this technology, which has a wide range of applications in medicine, also has a place in medical pathology.

Methods: Forty-two pseudophakic patients who developed ME following PPV and removal of the primary stage 2-3 ERM were included. Patients were divided into two groups when ME was diagnosed via spectral domain optic coherence tomography (SD-OCT).
Objective: Caries formation is a process affected by various factors. Studies have shown that genetic factors also play a role in caries formation. The aim of our study is to examine the effects of matrix metalloproteinase ( (rs679620) and vitamin D receptor () (rs731236) gene polymorphisms on caries formation.

Introduction: Despite the increasing prevalence of fruit and vegetable allergies in childhood over the past decades, the clinical course of reaction types and tolerance remain unclear. Our aim was to evaluate the clinical course, demographic characteristics, and tolerance rate of allergic reactions induced by fruits or vegetables.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective, descriptive, cross-sectional study on patients who presented with suspected allergic reactions to fruit or vegetables.
Background: Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. The combination of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG PET) and computed tomography (CT) has a major impact on the diagnosis, staging, treatment planning and follow-up of lung cancer patients. The maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) is an easily performed and most widely used semi-quantitative index for the analysis of FDG PET images and estimation of metabolic activity.

Aim: The aim of the study was to preoperatively predict IPA in repeated CD with the stria gravidarum (SG) scoring system.
Methods: A total of 167 patients with at least one previous CD at or beyond 37 weeks of gestation were analyzed.
Introduction: We aimed to investigate the effects of secondary bacterial and fungal infections on patient outcomes in patients followed up in the intensive care unit (ICU) due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Methodology: We retrospectively analyzed reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) positive COVID-19 patients followed in the ICU of our hospital between March 2020 and June 2021, using the hospital information system. Demographic data, pathogens causing a secondary infection, onset time of secondary infection, and patient outcomes were recorded.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to present novel diagnostic ultrasonography (USG)-based classification of inflammatory granulomatous mastitis (IGM) and to assess and compare dosage responses of locoregional steroid therapy.
Methods: From January 2017 through March 2023, total of 230 biopsy-proven IGM patients were reclassified (grades I, II, and III) according to USG-based morphological features. The injection applications were grouped in Group1 (40 mg/mL between years 2017 and 2019) versus Group2 (80 mg/mL between years 2019 and 2023), and effectiveness was analysed for each grade in between groups.
The use of multivitamins has become widespread globally, yet there is a scarcity of studies investigating their impact on resin composite restorations. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of an effervescent multivitamin tablet on micro-hybrid dental resin composites' surface roughness and color. Fifty disc-shaped samples (8 × 2 mm, shade A2; = 10) were prepared and polished using five different micro-hybrid resin composites (Pergamon, Dentac, Turkey; Estelite Posterior, Tokuyama, Japan; Geanial Anterior, GC, Japan; Charisma Opal, Kulzer, Germany; Beautifil II, Shofu, USA).

Methods: Eighteen young age male New Zealand rabbits were studied: five in the control (Group I, =5), five in the penile surgery without using electrocautery (sham group, Group II, =5), eight in the monopolar cautery (study group, Group III, =8) groups under general anesthesia.

Objective: : Pathways associated with glutamate receptors are known to play a role in the pathophysiology of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (CDK5), microtubule-associated protein-2 (MAP2), guanylate kinase-associated protein (GKAP), and postsynaptic density 95 (PSD95), all of which are biomarkers involved in neurodevelopmental processes closely related to glutamatergic pathways, have not previously been studied in patients with ADHD. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the plasma levels of CDK5, MAP2, GKAP, and PSD95 in children with ADHD and investigate whether these markers have a role in the etiology of ADHD.

However, the increased reliance on sophisticated technology and molecular analysis posed a major challenge to healthcare systems in low- and middle-income countries. A few recent publications have drawn attention to the issue of the applicability of the new CNS WHO 2021 worldwide, but the exuberant enthusiasm observed in high-income countries seems to have stifled such a concern.
