Objectives/hypothesis: To examine and compare the neuroprotective effects of dexamethasone, oxytocin, and resveratrol administration on regeneration after facial nerve crush injury in a rat model.
Study Design: Prospective, randomized, controlled animal study.
Methods: A crush-type facial nerve injury was performed on the right side of all rats (injury group [IG]), whereas there was no injury on the left side (sham group [SG]).
Background: To determine the effects of different intraabdominal pressure (IAP) on the ovaries in a laparoscopic rat model.
Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the effects on the ovaries of different intraabdominal pressures (IAP) in laparoscopic surgery in a rat model.
Material And Methods: Thirty-two post-pubertal nonpregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into four groups.
Background: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of zinc and/or progesterone via the expression of α v β 5 integrins and Vitronectins and embryonic stem cell markers during the peri-implantation period.
Methods: Four experimental groups were organized. All subjects were mated with males of the same strain to induce pregnancy; after 5 days, zinc and/or progesterone were administered.
Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a multisystem disorder. Type 1 DM can be experimentally induced in rats with streptozotocin (STZ). Diabetic conditions result in testicular oxidative stress and suppressed male reproductive activity as well as decreases in both testicular organ weights and subject weights.

Neuroblastoma is a severe pediatric tumor characterized by poor prognosis. Identification of novel molecular targets and diversion of investigations on new drug trials is mandatory for cancer therapy. In this study, vinorelbine tartrate, lithium chloride, clomipramine, and medroxyprogesterone acetate are used for the possible new treatment modalities in neuroblastoma cells.

Methods: Embryos were randomly seperated into control (n = 20) and study (n = 20) groups. The eggshell was windowed at specifically 24 h of incubation, and area underlying the membrane was excised to allow injection with 4.
Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Astragalus roots are used to treat leukemia and for their wound healing properties in Southeast Anatolia-Turkey.
Materials And Methods: In vivo studies to investigate the effects of two Astragalus saponins were carried out on the immune response cytokines by using six to eight weeks old male Swiss albino mice. The production of IL-1β, TGF-1β, TNF-α, IL-2, IL-4 and IFN-γ cytokines was determined by ELISA.

Objective: The aim of this study was to show glycemic and oxidative/antioxidative status (GOAS) in rats with estradiol valerate (EV)-induced polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Study Design: Thirty mature female rats were randomly allocated to EV-induced PCOS, sham and control groups. Malondialdehyde, catalase and fasting blood glucose levels were determined in order to evaluate GOAS.
The antiatherosclerotic effect of lacidipine has been attributed to its actions on cholesterol levels, lipid metabolism or oxidant stress in advanced disease. The purpose of the present experiments was to examine whether lacidipine is protective of intimal thickening and vascular dysfunction in early atherosclerosis in the absence of the hypertension and hypercholesterolemia. A second goal was to determine whether and to what extent MMP-9 and oxidant stress are involved in possible beneficial effects of lacidipine.
