Purpose: We aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of 68Ga-FAPI-04 (FAPI) in comparison to 68Ga-DOTATATE (SSTR) PET/CT for patients presenting with recurrent medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC).

Patients And Methods: Sixteen MTC patients with elevated calcitonin levels (>150 pg/mL) underwent FAPI and SSTR PET/CT. Two nuclear medicine physicians evaluated all images, categorizing lesions into locoregional metastases, mediastinal lymph nodes (LNs), liver, and bone metastases.

Aims: Bidirectional detrimental relationships between COVID-19 infection and diabetes have been described globally. However, new-onset diabetes in adults and its follow-up during the pandemic have not been sufficiently investigated. In this study, new-onset autoimmune and type 2 diabetes cases during the pandemic were compared to those before the pandemic, and the clinical course of new-onset diabetes during the pandemic was examined.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to compare various clinical and hormonal characteristics, treatment methods, and survival outcomes of ectopic Cushing's syndrome (ECS) between male and female patients.
  • Data was collected from 11 medical centers, evaluating 54 patients (28 females and 26 males), and found similarities in age, clinical presentation, and hormone levels despite some differences like higher rates of diabetes and osteoporosis in males.
  • Overall, the results showed comparable disease progression, treatment responses, and remission rates between sexes, but indicated that males experience more severe conditions such as hyperglycemia and osteoporosis.

Objective: Primary hypophysitis might be challenging to diagnose, and there is a lack of evidence regarding optimal treatment strategies due to rarity of the disease. We aim to investigate the clinical features and compare the outcomes of different management strategies of primary hypophysitis in a large group of patients recruited on a nationwide basis.

Design: A retrospective observational study.

The role of severity and duration of inflammatory findings on the development of persistent hypothyroidism and anemia has not been clarified in subacute thyroiditis (SAT). Demographic data and laboratory parameters of patients with SAT were analyzed retrospectively. Permanent hypothyroidism was observed in 28.

Background And Aims: Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is a group of disorders that affect the production of steroids in the adrenal gland and are inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern. The clinical and biochemical manifestations of the disorder are diverse, ranging from varying degrees of anomalies of the external genitalia to life-threatening adrenal insufficiency. This multicenter study aimed to determine the demographics, biochemical, clinical, and genetic characteristics besides the current status of adult patients with CAH nationwide.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to review the clinical and laboratory characteristics, diagnostic and treatment modalities of tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) cases managed in a single center.

Material Methods: Demographic and clinical features, biochemical findings, diagnostic procedures, treatment modalities, and outcomes of nine patients who had the diagnosis of TIO were reviewed retrospectively.

Results: Mean age of the study group (F/M: 4/5) was 45.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of cabergoline in normalizing plasma IGF-I levels in acromegaly patients with elevated IGF-I levels after surgery and/or SRL therapy. Acromegaly patients (n: 143) were evaluated retrospectively. Patients with elevated IGF-I levels after surgery and/or SRLs therapy and a fixed dose of SRLs treatment for the last six months with no history of radiotherapy in the last three years were included in the study (n: 12).

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to investigate the frequency of autoimmune thyroid disease (ATD) in patients with prolactinomas compared to those with somatotrophinomas, as well as the factors related to thyroid autoimmunity in functional pituitary adenomas.
  • Results showed that ATD, specifically Hashimoto's thyroiditis, occurred more frequently in patients with prolactinoma (33%) than in those with acromegaly (17%), with female patients showing higher rates of thyroid autoantibodies.
  • The findings indicate that thyroid autoantibodies should be routinely assessed in prolactinoma patients at diagnosis and during treatment, as autoimmune hypothyroidism was also more prevalent in this group compared to those with

Purpose: The aim of the study was to assess the effect of dopamine agonist (DA) withdrawal, the current recurrence rate of hyperprolactinemia, and possible factors that predict recurrence in patients with prolactinoma.

Methods: We evaluated DA withdrawal in 67 patients with prolactinoma (50 female/17 male) who received DA treatment for at least 2 years and showed normalization of prolactin (PRL) levels and tumor disappearance or ≥50 % tumor shrinkage, retrospectively. Accordingly, patients were divided into two groups as remission and recurrence groups, and factors that predict recurrence were evaluated.
