Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors have emerged as a powerful tool in biosensing applications due to their ability to provide sensitive and real-time detection of chemical and biological analytes. This review focuses on the development and application of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-based SPR sensors for food analysis. By combining the high selectivity of molecular imprinting techniques with the sensitivity of SPR, these sensors offer significant advantages in detecting food contaminants and other target molecules.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the reverse first dorsal metatarsal artery (FDMA) flap in the reconstruction of distal foot injuries caused by electric currents.
Objectives: This study aimed to identify predictors of sepsis in earthquake survivors who underwent either amputation or fasciotomy and to compare these two patient groups across many clinical outcomes, including sepsis.
Patients And Methods: In this retrospective study, a total of 1,608 patients who presented to our hospital following the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş earthquakes were evaluated between February 2023 and March 2023. Of these, 138 patients (65 males, 73 females; median age: 35 years; range, 18 to 74 years) who underwent either fasciotomy or amputation were included in the study.
Cerium oxide NPs (-CeO), with notable performance in various biological tests like redox activity, free radical scavenging, and biofilm inhibition, emerge as significant candidates to address issues in related areas. In this research, copper-decorated -CeO (Cu@-CeO) were first synthesized and then characterized using advanced techniques such as SEM-EDX, XRD, XPS, BET, and ICP-OES. The biochemical properties of the obtained Cu@-CeO nanostructure and its performance in polyethersulfone (PES) membranes were thoroughly investigated in this research study.

Aim: To determine the relationship between alpha Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH) and Melanocortin-4 receptor (MCR4) levels and sexual function levels of patients with and without SSRI related SD and control group and to examine whether α-MSH and MCR4 play a role in the etiology of SSRI related SD.
Methods: A total of 92 patients and 49 healthy volunteers who applied to psychiatry outpatient clinic were included in the study.
Inborn errors of immunity (IEI) disorders, formerly primary immune deficiency diseases, are a heterogeneous group of disorders with variable hereditary transitions, clinical manifestations, complications and varying disease severity. Many of the clinical symptoms, signs and complications in IEI patients can be attributed to inflammatory and immune dysregulatory processes due to loss of microbial diversity (dysbiosis). For example, in common variable immunodeficiency patients, the diversity of bacteria, but not fungi, in the gut microbiota has been found to be reduced and significantly altered.

A 3D mandibular model was created for a 45-year-old female patient from CT images, with mucosal thickness measured at 3 mm on average using ultrasonography. The overdenture prosthesis was scanned with an intraoral scanner and placed onto the 3D mandibular model.

Methods: Patients referred to our neuro-ophthalmology laboratory were enrolled to this retrospective study.
Homeobox (HOX) transcript antisense RNA (HOTAIR) and HOX genes are reported to be more expressed in various cancers in humans in recent studies. The role of HOTAIR and HOXD genes in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is not well known. In this study, expression levels of HOXD8, HOXD9 and HOXD11 from HOXD gene family and HOTAIR were determined from peripheral blood samples of 30 AML and 30 CML patients and 20 healthy volunteers by quantitative Real Time PCR.

This study describes the use of multi-parametric MRI (mpMRI) to characterize incidental 18 F-FDG uptake in the prostate.
Methods And Materials: While 18 F-FDG-PET/CT is useful for characterizing a variety of cancers, it is not advised for prostate cancer that is localized.
usually presents with erythrasma, a macular rash, but rarely it can cause extracutaneous infections such as endocarditis, peritonitis, pyelonephritis, and catheter-related bloodstream infections. Here, we present the first case of septic arthritis caused by and a literature review of invasive infections. The diagnosis was confirmed by the patient's clinical findings and microbiological examination of the joint fluid.

A novel probe NIR8 decorated with colorimetric, fluorometric, turn-on, and NIR properties was designed and synthesized using the chromenylium-cyanine platform for sensitive and selective quantification of Hg in real samples. The interaction between the probe and Hg resulted in the opening of the closed spirolactam ring of the chromenylium-cyanine platform, leading to a notable color shift from yellow to green. Concurrently, ratiometric spectral changes at 380 and 725 nm for UV-Vis and signal enhancement at 755 nm for fluorescence were observed.

Objective: To examine the effect of reflexology socks on constipation in patients with opioid-induced constipation.
Background: A pathological complete response (pCR) rate after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is important for the prognosis of early-stage breast cancer. The prediction of an NAC response plays a key role in managing neoadjuvant treatment.
Aims: The aim of this study is to investigate the predictive value of the baseline PETCT FDG (F-18 fluoro-deoxy-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography) SUVmax (the maximum standardized uptake value) for pCR after NAC in early-stage breast cancer.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in digital health, bioengineering, and society have significant material impacts on the environment owing to AI's vast energy demands and energy consumption, carbon footprints, and water usage to cool data centers and generate electricity to power the data centers. Yet, the environmental footprints of AI remain underappreciated and inadequately acknowledged. This is significant, particularly in this era of climate emergency and ongoing threats to planetary energy and water supplies.

Our research aimed to investigate the following: (1) Is there a correlation between the ratios of blood cell counts upon admission and the adverse outcomes of crush syndrome? and (2) if such a correlation exists, what are the precise thresholds of blood cell count ratios for predicting these adverse outcomes? In this single-centered and retrospective design study, we analyzed all patients admitted to our hospital after Kahramanmaras Earthquake. The data on length of stay in the ICU and mortality status were obtained using our hospital system.

ATM kinase plays a critical role in various cellular processes and its deficiency increases sensitivity to DDR-targeted agents in different cancers. Recent studies highlight ATM inhibition as a potential clinical target, with AZD1390 being a notable ATM inhibitor due to its potent and selective inhibition, ability to accumulate at DNA breaks.
