The main symptoms of depression, a chronic mental illness, include sadness, low self-esteem, and a diminished sense of enjoyment in life. Many factors have been suggested to be associated with depression, one of which is low testosterone in men. The serotonin reuptake inhibitor fluoxetine (FLU), used to treat depression, has been reported to potentially have detrimental effects on spermatogenesis in rats after long-term use.

Background: This study aims to investigate the impact of combining crush fluid resuscitation with gelsolin treatment on renal function in a rat model of crush syndrome.
Methods: Twenty-four adult female Wistar albino rats were randomly assigned to one of three groups for crush syndrome treat-ment: Control (C) group, gelsolin + crush fluid (gel) group, and crush fluid only (CF) group, each containing eight rats. Sedated rats underwent unilateral hind limb compression of 2 kg using a compression device, maintained for five hours.
Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery is one of the main treatment procedures for revascularization. Diagnosing postoperative complications can be difficult. One rare complication is the iatrogenic connection of the graft to the venous system, causing distal ischemia due to an arteriovenous shunt.

Methods: This was a retrospective study performed in one institution. Patients with and without upper and lower eyelid laxity, which were determined using the snap-back test (SBT) and the upper eyelid distraction test (LDT), were evaluated for corneal structural changes with Scheimpflug imaging corneal tomography for the keratometric readings, and cor-neal spectral domain optical coherence tomography for the epithelial thickness (ET) measurements.

Objective: (s): This study aims to evaluate the changes in temporal auditory processing skills in children who underwent bilateral ventilation tube insertion (VTI) due to Otitis Media with Effusion (OME) and the effect of these changes on speech comprehension in noisy environments.
Methods: This is a case-control study. In total, 60 children were included in the study in two groups.
This study examines the egg-laying behavior and egg morphology of Hydrometra stagnorum (Linnaeus, 1753) (Gerromorpha: Heteroptera) to provide ecofaunistic information about the species. Newly recorded H. stagnorum samples were collected from the Karabük province of Western Black Sea region of Türkiye.

This entity is essential for the management of pediatric breast diseases for which the rate of surgical intervention is known to be very low. Although previous publications have emphasized that pediatric breast diseases may cause alarming anxiety in parents, the demographic factors that influence this anxiety have not been investigated.

In this investigation, we established a streptozotocin-induced diabetic pregnant rat model. Microarray analysis followed by RT-PCR was utilized to identify gene regions exhibiting expression alterations.

Currently, anatomical ACL reconstruction with quadrupled hamstring tendon autograft and controlled accelerated rehabilitation is a frequently used treatment approach. This study aims to add to the literature the early and mid-term clinical results of the controlled accelerated rehabilitation program we implemented in our clinic to enable patients to return to their daily activities faster after ACL reconstruction.

Although boosting immunological memory by vaccination was the quickest and robust strategy, still medication is required for the immediate treatment of a patient. A popular approach is the mining of new therapeutic molecules.

Background: The aim of our study was to investigate the impact of curfews imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic on emergency department visits, orthopedic trauma frequencies, and types of trauma.
Methods: In this single-center, retrospective cohort study, a total of 16,242 patients, including 3,020 trauma patients, were admitted to level 1 trauma center emergency department between April-June 2020 and 2021 (curfew group) and between April-June 2018 and 2019 (control group). Patients were separated according to emergency department triage categories and trauma mechanisms, and the changes in the days of curfew were analyzed.

Objective: To find the frequency of hearing loss in newly diagnosed patients with fibromyalgia (FM), and the factors affecting it.
Study Design: Descriptive study. Place and Duration of the Study: Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Istanbul Medeniyet University, Goztepe Prof.
Objectives: Hearing loss has been described in patients with radiographic axial spondyloarthropathies (R-AxSpA) but has not been studied in patients with non-radiographic axial spondyloarthropathies (NR-AxSpA); accordingly, the aim of the study was to compare hearing loss in patients with NR-AxSpA, R-AxSpA, and healthy individuals.
Patients And Methods: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted with 68 participants (30 males, 38 females; mean age: 39.8±7.

We immobilized the olive leaf extract (OLE) with chitosan nanoparticles (CNPs) by optimizing the effect of various immobilization conditions, and OLE-loaded CNPs (OLE-CNPs) were then elaborately characterized physicochemically by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Under optimal conditions, CNPs were able to accommodate the OLE with a loading capacity of 97.5%.

All women having had a live birth after blastocyst ETs following frozen ET cycles with preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) were included. A control group was selected among women who had a live birth following single frozen blastocyst transfer without PGT-A at the same period in our clinic One hundred fifteen and 173 cycles with- and without-PGT, respectively, were included.

This study examines people's subjective well-being, such as the perception of the economic situation and mental well-being, who made adjustments to cope with the earning losses. We estimate the well-being cost, which is the money required to compensate people because of the reduction in earnings or employment loss and the coping strategy followed to bring their well-being to the levels of those who have not adopted any coping strategy.

Encouraging results on its renoprotective effect have been reported in a limited number of drug-induced nephrotoxicity animal models. The present study aimed to evaluate for the first time the potential renoprotective effects of TXF in a paracetamol (PAR)-induced nephrotoxicity rat model.

Several molecular and spectroscopic descriptors were proposed, but a major limitation is the lack of connections between them. Here, we combine density functional theory-based MD simulations (DFT-MD) and SFG spectroscopy to explore how interfacial water responds in contact with self-assembled monolayers (SAM) of tunable hydrophilicity.
