Background: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a major global concern. This study aimed to examine the prevalence and co-occurrence of lifestyle risk factors among university students.
Methods: This analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted between January and April 2022.
Introduction: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a frequently encountered neurological illness that has no effective treatment and imposes an enormous socioeconomic burden. Autophagy is essential for the maintenance of healthy cellular physiology, cell viability, and defense against pathogenic conditions. However, there is no study investigating the possible role of autophagy-related proteins (ATGs) in RLS patients.

Introduction: The association between secondhand smoking (SHS) and the risk of Type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM) has garnered increasing interest. The aim of this study is to examine whether exposure to SHS is associated with an increased likelihood of Type 1 DM.
Methods: This study was designed as a case-control study.
Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the relationship between molecular classification and HALP score in endometrial cancer (EC).
Methods: Patients who were operated with the diagnosis of EC 2014 and 2024 were included in our study. 150 patients were included in the study.
Introduction Osmophobia is hypersensitivity to certain odors. Although osmophobia is a symptom related to migraine, it is also reported in tension-type headache (TTH). Osmophobia is recommended for inclusion in the migraine diagnostic criteria because it increases sensitivity and shows absolute specificity.

This is a retrospective review of 150 patients who received the diagnosis of endometrial cancer and underwent surgery at the study center between January 2008 and January 2022. When evaluating L1CAM immunohistochemical staining, scoring was done according to the percentage of positivity in tumor cells.

Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on the records of 223 patients with endometrial cancer diagnosed between January 2011 and January 2021.
Background And Purpose:
Body mass index (BMI) is positively correlated with the frequency of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). However, there are different types of obesity, and the localization of adipose tissue differs between the genders. In this study, we purposed to investigate whether there was an association between the amount of local adipose tissue thickness and anthropometry in upper extremity with the presence and/or electrophysiological severity of CTS on both genders.

The albumin/globulin ratio (AGR) is a parameter that considers two proteins that are indicators of inflammation and has been shown to increase in some inflammatory diseases. No study has evaluated the relationship between RLS and AGR yet.

MetS is mainly caused by an imbalance between calorie intake and energy expenditure; however, it is recognized that additional variables, such as chronic inflammation, may have the same predictive potential as insulin resistance or MetS components in the genesis of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular events. More importantly, the early diagnosis or treatment of MetS may significantly reduce the burden on the health systems of the disease with any prevention or biomarker and should not be underestimated.

Methods: Gartland type 3 supracondylar humeral fractures treated by open reduction and pinning in 4 different centers with different surgical approaches were divided into 4 groups according to the surgical approach. Each trauma center applied the surgical approaches with which it had the most experience.
Purpose: Relationship between pathologic parameters, surgical parameters, or lymph node status with oncologic outcomes is not fully elucidated in endometrial cancer (EC). We want to investigate the molecular classification of uterine cancer in the Turkish population and its relationship between lymphadenectomy and lymph node metastasis.
Methods: In this study, 100 patients' clinical and pathologic data diagnosed with EC were analyzed.
Background: Surgical treatment of distal intraarticular radius fractures remains controversial. Our aim was to compare the clinical and radiological outcomes between volar plating (VP) and external fixation (EF) for distal intraarticular radius fractures two years postoperatively.
Methods: This retrospective study included 59 patients with 62 intraarticular AO Type C distal radius fractures.
Background: Increasing peritoneal permeability with ultrafiltration and solute removal inadequacy is a challenging issue in peritoneal dialysis (PD). Decreasing permeability is less frequent but also results in diminished solute clearance. We evaluated the association between longitudinal high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) values and the change in transport characteristics of the peritoneal membrane in PD patients.

Background: Hypertension is one of the common causes of headaches. Disruption in the circadian rhythm of blood pressure (BP) also leads to some chronic diseases. Sleep disturbances have a relationship with neurologic and cardiac diseases.

The main objective of this study is to investigate nutritional risk factors, especially breastfeeding early in life that may be associated with the development of type 1 DM and to determine the relationship these factors have with the disease.
Methods: This research is a case-control study and was carried out in Ege University Children's Hospital in İzmir, Turkey between 13 January 2020 and 5 March 2020.
Background/aim: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic central nervous system inflammatory disease. Fibrinogen/Albumin ratio (FAR) has been studied as an inflammatory marker in the past, and its significant relationship with inflammation has been shown. In our study, we examined serum levels of albumin, fibrinogen and FAR in patients presenting with MS attack.

Bipolar disorder (BD) is a severe mental illness characterized by aberrant mood changes between hypomania and mania or mixed states and depression. Metabolic changes also accompany disease progression and cause significant morbidity. Symptomatic treatment options are available, but asymptomatic patients and poor drug responders are significant problems.

Bipolar disorder (BD) is a multifactorial chronic and refractory disease characterized by manic, depressive, and mixed mood episodes. Although epidemiological, and pathophysiological studies demonstrated a strong correlation between bipolar disorder and oxidative stress, precise etiology is still missing. Recent studies suggested the possible role of transient receptor potential channels (TRP) in the BD but, current knowledge is limited.
