Objective: In the present study, taking into consideration our previous studies showing an association on the neuroanatomy of OCD and obsessive-compulsive personality disorders (OCPD), we also decided to examine pineal gland volumes in patients with obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and hypothesized that gland volumes would be found as altered in comparison with those of healthy subjects.

Methods: Sixteen patients with OCPD and eighteen healthy control subjects underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We compared the volumes of pineal gland by using MRI between groups.

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) following fibrinolytic therapy is a rare but a life-threatening complication. In acute ischemic stroke (AIS), DAH as a complication was not reported following intravenous thrombolytic therapy (ITT). The demographic, clinical, radiologic, and prognostic data of 4 patients with AIS who developed DAH after ITT are presented in this case series, along with a literature review.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between penile colour doppler ultrasonography (PCDUS) and complete blood count parameters in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). The data of the patients who applied to our outpatient clinic with ED (IIEF-5 score <22 or IIEF-EF score <26) between January 2007 and May 2017 were retrospectively analysed. The patients who had available PCDUS results and complete blood count (CBC) values were included in the study.

Comparison of Fatal Injuries Resulting from Tractor and High Speed Motorcycle Accidents in Turkey: A Multicenter Study.

Aim: Injuries are among the main causes of mortality and morbidity all over the world, and effective initial triage of these patients can determine the thin line between death and life. Tractor accidents and related injuries are significant problems particularly in rural areas. However, major trauma classification systems do not include tractor accidents as a criterion for trauma team activation or transportation of the patients to a trauma center.

Efficiency of inferior petrosal sinus sampling in the diagnosis of Cushing's disease and comparison with magnetic resonance imaging.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the efficiency of inferior petrosal sinus sampling (IPSS) in the diagnosis of adrenocorticotropic hormone-dependent Cushing's disease and to compare it with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Methods: The diagnostic efficiency of IPSS in the differentiation of pituitary Cushing's disease from ectopic Cushing's disease was retrospectively evaluated in 37 patients who had IPSS in our clinic. Six patients were excluded from the study due to missing data.

Diagnosis and Conservative Management of Ureteral Orifice Injury During Robotic Prostatectomy for a Large Prostate with a Prominent Median Lobe.

Robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALRP) is now considered the standard treatment for localized prostate cancer. However, challenges may arise when dealing with large prostates with a prominent median lobe because the ureteral orifices may not always be visible during dissection and maybe injured in the process. We describe our experience on the diagnosis and conservative management of ureteral orifice injury in this situation.

Enantioselective synthesis of functionalized cyclic allylic alcohols via kinetic resolution in transesterifcation with different lipase enzymes has been developed. The influence of the enzymes and temperature activity was studied. By determination of ideal reaction conditions, byproduct formation is minimized; this made it possible to prepare enantiomerically enriched allylic alcohols in high ee's and good yields.

The actual role of splint therapy in preventing excessive loading of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is still debated. Lower intra-articular pressure levels have been measured in patients wearing occlusal splints, which may also reduce oxidative stress in the articular spaces. The aim of this study was to determine whether splint therapy reduces oxidative stress and inflammation in TMJ internal derangement patients by measuring interleukin 6 (IL-6), malondialdehyde (MDA), and 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels in the synovial fluid (SF).

Background: Seribantumab (MM-121) is a fully human IgG2 monoclonal antibody that binds to human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 () to block heregulin ()-mediated signaling and induce receptor downregulation. This open-label, randomized phase 1/2 study evaluated safety and efficacy of seribantumab plus erlotinib in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Here, we report the activity of seribantumab plus erlotinib, versus erlotinib alone, in patients with wild-type tumors and describe the potential predictive power of HRG.

Objectives: Obsessive compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) is currently thought to bear a close relationship with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other compulsive disorders such as eating disorder and autistic spectrum disorder, as well as with the personality disorders, focusing on some important dimensions like phenomenology, heritability, environmental risk factors, comorbidity, course of illness, neurocognitive endophenotypes, and treatment response. Does Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Have an Impact on Postoperative Early, Mid-Term and Late-Term Urinary Continence After Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy?

In this study, the eggs of 30 wild Black Sea whiting (Merlangius merlangus euxinus, Nordmann, 1840) and 30 farmed freshwater rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum, 1792) collected from Samsun Province in Turkey were analyzed to determine the level of contamination by nine organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), namely α-hexachlorocyclohexane (α-HCH), β-HCH, γ-HCH (lindane), hexachlorobenzene (HCB), aldrin, 2,4'-dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), 4,4'-DDT, 2,4'-dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylene (DDE), 4,4'-DDE, and 15 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) (PCB-28, -70, -74, -81, -99, -101, -118, -138, -153, -156, -170, -180, -183, -187, and -208), and their potential use as biomarkers to monitor levels of environmental contamination.
